We follow a strict minimal-data approach. No personal information such as email, name, or phone number is collected or stored.

a. Device Identifier

To operate core features, the App generates or reads a device identifier.
This identifier is used only to:

  • Maintain your session.
  • Store your App preferences locally.
  • Improve app functionality.

This identifier is not linked to your identity, and we do not use it to track you across apps or services.

 

b. Application Preferences

We store user preferences to provide a customized experience. These preferences may include:

  • Preferred map settings
  • User interface options
  • Notification preferences

 

c. Location Data

The App accesses your real-time geographic location while it is in use.
This is required to:

  • Display your position on the map.
  • Provide area alerts
  • Handle location-based features

Location data is not stored, logged, or retained by NoGo Map.

 

 

2. Third-Party Services

 

NoGo Map integrates with third-party services that may collect data independently from us. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

 

a. Mapping Services (Thunderforest API)

We use Thunderforest to provide mapping and geolocation services. Thunderforest only collect data associated to the map information request based in their Privacy Policy.

 

b. Google Ads

3. How We Use Your Information

 

We use the minimal information collected for the following purposes:

  • To operate and improve the App.
  • To apply your saved preferences.
  • To provide real-time location-based features.

  • To deliver advertisements through Google Ads.

  • To ensure a functional and secure user experience.

We do not sell or share any data with third parties for marketing purposes.

 

4. Data Storage and Security

  • NoGo Map does not store personal data on our servers.
  • Device identifier and preferences remain on your device.
  • Location data is processed in real-time and never stored.
  • We apply standard security measures to protect internal systems, but no method of transmission is 100% secure.

 

 

5. Location Data Usage

Your location data is only used for real-time services within the App (such as map navigation and location-based suggestions). This data is not stored in our database. However, third-party services like Google Maps may collect and retain location data as part of their service.

 

 

6. Advertising

We use Google Ads within the App to display advertisements. Ads are targeted based on general device data and preferences, but no personal information (such as your email address) is shared with advertisers.

 

 

7. User Rights and Control

 

a. Access and Update Information

You have the right to access and update your personal information, such as your email address and app preferences, directly within the App.

 

b. Delete Your Account

You can delete your account and all associated personal data at any time. Once your account is deleted, all personal data will be permanently removed from our database. For account deletion, you can use the App's settings or contact us at contact@nogomap.app.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App or sending an email to registered users. Your continued use of the App after any changes signifies your acceptance of the updated policy.
